Itemized maximum allowances like $25 for transportation, them saying this is there final offer after only two counters, and won't consider anticipated needs. I filed yesterday. Time to see if Ombudsmen can help before they start re threatening to move the child with another placement again. It's already left me sleepless seval nights and I've felt my heart racing over this horrible word by word tactic the caseworkers use.

Within 24 hours case worker called me pushing for a response for their final proposal. Richland County, foster care base payments are $899, but with transportation it's around $1040. They say they consider current circumstances and family circumstances and don't. I quoted federal welfare policies and it was like they didn't even read it claiming the child was a healthy child.... Their final offer is $550 until 18 years old. They said if we don't take it with the child being four cute and smart they'll finad another placement. The Ombudsmen at least mentioned trying to ask them for a mediator. My heart is bleeding how is this what is best for a child. We took her in became next of kin, for temp custody, then gave county permanent custody for us to foster and adopt.

We haven't signed

, we told them we are waiting for the counter in the mail before we respond trying to slow up things to let us think and come up with a plan.

Not taking in consideration anticipated needs. Main issue they limit transportation to $25 when we get $300 for milage currently with fostercare. They limit school to I think $30 and that almost covers half a month of school lunches and no class fees or supplies. They say the $550 is for child care, family circumstances, school, transportation, extracricular limited to $35. They won't give us credit on mental health difficulties or physical issues not covered by insurance because they don't seem lactose allergy a cost, eczema soaps and detergents, glasses frames or lenses aren't all covered, they don't care. I quit my job to raise this kid they told me I can go get a job...but the kid had attachment issues and now we have to transport her to and from public school because it's not offered. They don't count placements before they gained permanent custody towards a credit they wrote $10 per placement added to the adoption subsidy, even though theirs still trauma, they didn't flag bio mother that lost previous three kids so child wasn't tested for substances at birth.

Had to Quit job, immune compromised with grade school kid who brought COVID into our house, I came to terms with not spreading my family's mutant genes now I'm raising a child who I may outlive if cancer isn't screened regularly. She has eczema, lactose allergy, glasses. Public School doesn't offer transportation doctor office 120mile round trip, mental health concerns hitting kids in school, threatening to run away aces score 9/10, childs had placement before us agency doesn't care because at that time case was only under investigation and they didn't have custody, child born never tested even though mom admitted many drug uses and had previously lost 3 other kids in system but RCCS didn't flag her birth, RCCS lost records for 6 months that stated a man came forward and signed the birth certificate after wed had her over a year..it was the previous care provider who threatened us leading us to file a report with sherrif and buy camreas for our safety, wasn't actually boo dad, bio dad unknown. RCCS won't consider anticipated needs like how their worksheet and rates haven't been updated since Jan 2019 when inflation wasn't this bad.

Should we just take their offer and run to get the agency out of our lives?
